Art 4Note is an art recognition app based on the concepts of Art4Europe, but instead of recognizing artwork from the European database, it uses Wikipedia records. The application was developed during Hack4Europe, an international developers' competition hosted by the European Foundation in association with European Commission. Art4Note was hosted by Evernote, which allowed users to save paintings directly to Evernote applications.

How it works?

Art4Note accesses Wikipedia resources and allows users to snap shots of artwork and identify them immediately. Users take a photo of the artwork, and the app provides them with extra information and additional resources from Wikipedia. The results can then be stored in the application archives or exported to conveniently to Evernote.
